Tourney title for Acton Villa U-11s

The Acton under-11 boys’ Villa dropped its first game but won the next four to earn the champs’ hardware at the Woodstock under-11 boys’ select soccer tourney. After being blanked in the opening match, the Acton Villa under-11 boys were pleasantly surprised to find out they had qualified for the semifinals as a wild card team and proceeded to win a select tournament in Woodstock.
Preliminary round— North London Spurs 3, Acton 0
Acton 8, St. Mary’s Stonetown Blast 2: Aleks Rapp (3G); Yaw Antwi-Boasiako, Logan McNabb (2G); Zachary Harrison (G).
Acton 4, London Marconi 1: Rapp, Cody Arney, Noah Murray, Antwi-Boasiako (G).
Semifinal— Acton 2, Kitchener Spirit 1: Rapp, Murray (G).
Championship— Acton 2, Oakridge Super Eagles 0: Antwi-Boasiako, Harrison (G).
Under-8 Girls' Select Mustangs
The Georgetown Lafarge Mustangs received superb goalkeeping from Landrie Warfield and Sydney Miller, making it to the under-8 select division final of the Ancaster Heritage Days tournament before being edged by LaSalle 2-1.
