Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary teams excel in sports events

Just a short note to let you girls know that our general Ladies Auxiliary meetings have closed for the months of July and August. We will resume our meetings in September at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18. Our yearly dues are $12 and you can mail your cheque in or drop the cheque off at Branch 120 Legion.
June 14th was the qualifying euchre in Port Credit, and congratulations to our team from Georgetown, Eve Metler, Jane Joga, Marg Appleyard and Nadine Bradley, who came in first place. Way to go, girls! Now they qualify for District Euchre in October.
We would like to wish our team of Sheila Hicks, Marion McGugan, Sandra Jones, and Lynda Bowers all the best when they participate in Provincial Darts June 28 in Kirkland Lake. Bring home the trophy, girls, show no mercy!
September 20 is our Ladies Auxiliary 80th Anniversary Birthday Supper and Honours and Awards evening being held at the branch. Tickets are $10 each, which includes your dinner and entertainment. You may get your tickets from Jane Joga, 905-873-6194 or Jean Armonas, 905-873-7142.
It certainly was great seeing Comrade Molly out at our General Meeting on June 19. To our shut-ins and those under the weather, we think of you often and wish you well.
