Local man stabbed in Milton

A 20-year-old Georgetown man was stabbed in the shoulder during a robbery at Milton Skateboard Park on Thompson Rd. in Milton Friday night.
The man was taken to Milton Hospital by ambulance where he was treated and released. A 19-year-old Milton woman suffered a minor cut from a bottle that was thrown at her during the robbery.
Halton Police report at about 11:35 p.m. 11 young adults aged 18 to 25 were at the park when they were swarmed and robbed by four masked men in dark clothing. One of the suspects was armed with a black handgun, another with a baseball bat, and a third with a knife.
The victims were forced to the ground and the suspects demanded personal property from them.
Among the items stolen were cell phones, cash and credit cards. The suspects were last seen running east from the park, through a grassy area.
The suspects are described as being male, between the ages of 16 and 20 and 5’6” to 5’10” tall. One is described as Hispanic.
They were all wearing black from head to toe, and had their faces covered with black bandanas. The gun is described as a black semi-automatic handgun.

Man charged with DUI
A Georgetown man was charged after police stopped a driver who avoided a RIDE spot check at Delrex Blvd. and Regan Cr. about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Charged with impaired driving is Christopher McHugh, 29, of Sargent Rd.
Police urge residents to lock vehicles
Police urge area residents to lock their vehicles after several car break-ins recently.
Over the past few days cars were entered on Russell St., Moore Park Cr., Ruddell Cr., Mowat Cr., Banting Rd., Eaton St., Killaloe Cr., Baylor Crt, Stonebrook Cr., and Harley Ave. Among the stolen items were cell phones, wallets, credit cards and iPods.
Also, sometime late Thursday or early Friday, three vehicles in the driveway of a Barber Dr. residence were damaged. One was scratched, and the other two walked on.
Early last week, a number of thefts from vehicles were also reported.
A wallet and Halton Hills Fire Protection and Prevention Services badge from an unlocked vehicle at a Queen St. home late Saturday or early Sunday. Golf clubs and bag were stolen from a vehicle on Gollop Cr. and a cell phone, GPS, and PDA from a vehicle on Lauchlin Cr. and GPSs from vehicles on Grist Mill Dr. and Harding St.
Appliances stolen
Several appliances were stolen from a house under construction on Tenth Line late Thursday or early Friday.
A patio door was smashed to gain entry. Taken were two bar fridges, a stainless steel refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, smooth top hotplate, front-loading washer, stainless steel laundry tub, two washbasins, gold plated taps, a chandelier and door locks.
Bikes stolen
Two bicycles, valued at about $500 in total, were taken from an unlocked garage at an Argyll Rd. home sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday.
Police seek Jaguar owner
During a recent investigation, Halton Police came into possession of a hood ornament from a Jaguar vehicle. Police would like to return this item to the owner, however, have not received a report about the theft of such an item.
