Halton Police to hold two crime prevention seminars

Halton Police are hosting two seminars during Crime Prevention Week this week that will help people protect their homes and businesses as well as their identity.
Those who come out for the first seminar will learn if their home or business is as safe as it can be. Leading-edge security will show simple tips to enhance home and business security.
The seminar will be held from 7-9 p.m. today (Wednes-day) at Halton Regional Police Headquarters (Auditorium) at 1151 Bronte Rd. Oakville.
A second seminar will be held at police headquarters from 7 to 9 p.m., tomorrow (Thursday), also at police headquarters.
This seminar will focus on identity theft, computer scams and frauds. Those who attend will gain insight into this relatively new phenomenon from members of Halton Police Service’s Fraud Unit and its community partners.
