Fire destroys trailer

Halton Hills fire crews responded to Smallwood Acres on Dublin Line in Acton for a fire that gutted a trailer last Thursday at 10:52 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the roof vent. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze that investigation revealed had originated in the control panel of the washing machine and spread to nearby combustible materials. Nobody was home at the time.
Damage is estimated at $32,000.
