Tee it up for charity

St. John's United Church, Georgetown, and United Way of Halton Hills hosts a charity golf tournament on Saturday, June 7 at Streetsville Glen Golf Course.  With the theme "Old Pros", the organizing committee is encouraging players to come dressed in their 'plus fours' attire, or bring along some golf equipment from days gone bye!  Prizes will be awarded for "best dressed"!  
The event will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, and teams will play with a Scramble format. This fun and entertaining event will include a barbecue buffet lunch, various contests, prizes, and more! Links2Care  hosts a golf tournament to benefit Off the Wall and Open Door youth centres, on Saturday, August 16 at Acton Meadows. 7 a.m. shotgun start. Teams of four, $90/person. The fifth annual Bill Laidlaw Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, July 17, starting at noon at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Georgetown. This tournament will raise funds for youth programs and youth leadership development in Halton Hills. This tournament is open to everyone, shotgun start, best ball scramble.  Register by June 2 for only $125 per person or $500 per foursome, includes golf, cart and meal. Cost after June 1 is $140 per person or $560 per foursome. You can also sponsor a hole (there will be signs at each hole honouring sponsors), donating items for golf prizes, raffle prizes, live auction items or cash donations.
