Former Acton High School student Helen Galt, now Helen Duplassie, is having her first solo art show, Five Weeks in Paris, at Beaux-Arts, Brampton Galleries in the Art Cove Gallery, June 1-30.
A meet-the-artist reception will be held on Saturday, June 14, noon to 3 p.m.
Duplassie retired from teaching in 2001 and immediately rediscovered her love of art. Her daughter Jackie now resides in Paris and so her mother had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in that beautiful city, thus the show Five Weeks in Paris.
She is a visual artist, who paints in oils, watercolours, and acrylics.
