Young and old remember
Second World War veteran Del Hickling of Branch 197 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton, joined with Billy Bartens, 11 and Elissa Keenleyside, 10, both Grade 5 students from Georgetown Christian School, as they observed a moment of Remembrance during the Candlelight Tribute at Georgetown Cenotaph. The event featured nearly 1,100 students and teachers who placed candles on the base of the Cenotaph as an act of Remembrance for the veterans in observance of Victory in Europe day.
